Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Jim attended the University of Utah where he earned a BS in Banking & Finance and an MBA degree.
After college he served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. Following his military service he became a stockbroker with Dean Witter in San Francisco and then relocated to Salt Lake City as a producing broker and assistant manager for Dean Witter in 1973. After purchasing a vacation home in Park City in 1973, Jim and his wife Tina moved to Park City as full time residents in 1976. He launched his real estate career in 1981 and in 1987 formed Lewis Realty which became Lewis, Wolcott and Dornbush Real Estate in 1992. That company was sold in March of 2008 and now operates as Summit Sotheby's International Realty. Jim is now an Associate Broker active in listing and selling residential and vacation property in the Park City market.
Jim has served as a director of the Park City Board of Realtors and is a past Realtor of the Year. In 2010 he earned the Directors Award given by the Board for significant contributions to the industry and continues to be an active committee member. He and his wife support many local community organizations and share a passion for the restoration of Old Town historic buildings including their own home on Woodside Avenue.
