James Lewis

Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Jim attended the University of Utah where he earned a BS in Banking & Finance and an MBA degree.

After college he served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. Following his military service he became a stockbroker with Dean Witter in San Francisco and then relocated to Salt Lake City as a producing broker and assistant manager for Dean Witter in 1973. After purchasing a vacation home in Park City in 1973, Jim and his wife Tina moved to Park City as full time residents in 1976. Here they enjoyed raising their two daughters and participated fully in the exciting rebirth of Park City. Jim launched his real estate career in 1981 with Gump & Ayers Real Estate and then moved to Coleman Land Company. In 1987 he formed Lewis Realty which became Lewis, Wolcott & Dornbush Real Estate in 1992. Lewis, Wolcott & Dornbush went on to become the second largest firm in the Park City market and was sold to Sothebys International Realty in March of 2008. After completing his contractual transition period with Sotheby's, Jim joined Prudential Utah Real Estate as Vice President for Recruiting in Park City. In addition to his recruiting activities, Jim enjoys working with many of his former associates as an Associate Broker.

Jim has served as a director of the Park City Board of Realtors and is a past Realtor of the Year. Recently he earned the 2009 Directors Award given by the Board for significant contributions to the industry and continues to be an active committee member. He and his wife support many local community organizations and are Talisker Club members and members at Promontory.
